You will find several Lesson Plans here that will give you an idea of what you will find in the Computer Center.

The Microsoft Paint Lesson Plan is a good one for beginners just getting used to moving around the computer. It's just like coloring, and we all love to color! By doing something that is fun it takes the pressure off a bit when things don't go perfectly.

They are of varying degrees of difficulty. For instance, the example here for Microsoft Word is the 9th Lesson Plan offered. The first few are simpler to help you get started if you are new at this.

Microsoft Paint Beginner Example Print

The example I've chosen here is from Microsoft Paint. I'm using this one because everyone that has Windows has Paint. If you are a more experienced user, you can look at this (or try it--Paint really is fun to use) and get an idea of what the more advanced tutorials look like.

One of my favorite parts of paint is the Color Box. I feel like an artist holding a palette of colors looking at a blank canvas. Let’s get to know this fun feature.

At the bottom of the screen just above the Start Button is a box containing a number of different squares of color. (If you are using Microsoft Vista's Paint 2007 the box will be at the top of the screen.)

Create a Border in Microsoft Word Print

Now here is a nifty little deal that I think you will enjoy. Microsoft Word has a plethora (your basic $60 word) of border art styles and clip art. Let's put this flyer together, and in the process learn where to find some of these fun features. Open Microsoft Word.
