1. Now here is a nifty little deal that I think you will enjoy. Microsoft Word has a plethora (your basic $60 word) of border art styles and clip art. Let's put this flyer together, and in the process learn where to find some of this fun stuff. Open Microsoft Word. 2. Choose Page Layout from the Tab Bar. Click on Page Borders.
3. When the dialog box opens, click on the Page Border Tab as shown below #4. 4. Under the Setting category, choose Box. Then come to the bottom of the dialog box and click the dropdown arrow next to Art: For this project we are using apples, but as you can see from this menu, there are many choices for page borders.
4.Click OK after you have chosen the apples for your border art. 5. While you are still on this tab, move right next door on the ribbon to the Indent and Spacing groups. Make sure you have a zero in each box: Indent Left: 0 6. Click the Home tab on the Ribbon. To center everything as you type click the Center Alignment Button in the Paragraph group. 7. Choose the Font you want from the Font Style box. I chose Times New Roman. 8. Then let's change the text color. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Text Color icon
10. Type the following: Come to a Harvest 11. Highlight Come to a Harvest Festival and click the dropdown arrow next to the Font Size textbox 12. Next type: Friday Night at the Smith's 13. Highlight it and change the Font Size to 36. Click to the right of the word Smith's and press Enter on the Keyboard two times. 14. And finally, type: 4425 Marigold 15. Highlight the address and change the Font Size to 28. Click to the right of the address zip code (75150) and press Enter 3 times. 16. Choose the Insert Tab and click on the Clip Art Button:
Find some fall type clip art and add it to the bottom of your flyer. This is the clip art I used. You should be able to find something like this in your Microsoft Word clip art.
